The dogwood is North Carolina’s state flower. Artist Molly Robert's hope was that when children saw her cow they would want to touch and hug the huge white flowers with green leaves and blue background that cover the cow. The life-size cow sold at auction for $6,000 benefitting the NC Children's Hospital.
About Molly Roberts. The artist is a native of Graham, N.C., but has lived in Japan, Washington state, and California, where she's sold her art at various shows and has been an art teacher.
She is a member of the Folsom Art Association (Folsom, Calif.) and Alamance Artisans (Graham, N.C.).
